With the 38 color choices, you can be sure to get the perfect colors to match your nursery and/or personality. Although the triangular handle has mixed reviews, I find that for me it makes it much easier to carry. A major dislike for me though would be that the release button (the lever that lets you unlock the car seat from the base) is down at the feet, making it almost impossible to unlatch it without disturbing your sleeping baby. I also find the Baby Trend Flex-Loc great for preemies and/or if you have a smaller vehicle since this is one of the smaller infant carriers on the market.
I also have a few negative points about this infant seat as well though. For example, the customer service is less then cooperative and rather frustrating and unhelpful. I have received multiple complaints about how poorly their customer support is, which for me is a huge turnoff! I have also noticed that the straps and buttons are rather stiff compared to other brands and models on the market for the same price range. After doing much research for customer complaints, I have unfortunately come across a very common complaint about how no matter how tight the base is secured, it tends to tip when taking a turn in the car! WHAT!?!? To me this is not ok at all!!
World Mommy Overall Review:
Overall, I give the Baby Trend Flex-Loc a three star rating! This is because I feel as though there have been way too many complaints (and major ones at that) about this seat being easy to work with. I don't like how the base tips in the car while turning (even when properly installed). I also don't like how small the seat is and how many compaints there have been about babies outgrowing the Baby Trend Flex-Loc by the time they are 6 months old.
FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR BABY, PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOU SHOULD NEVER HAVE THE HANDLE IN THE UPRIGHT "CARRY" POSITION WHILE STRAPPED INTO THE CAR!
