 World Mommy Reviews:

With the 38 color choices, you can be sure to get the perfect colors to match your nursery and/or personality. Although the triangular handle has mixed reviews, I find that for me it makes it much easier to carry. A major dislike for me though would be that the release button (the lever that lets you unlock the car seat from the base) is down at the feet, making it almost impossible to unlatch it without disturbing your sleeping baby. I also find the Baby Trend Flex-Loc great for preemies and/or if you have a smaller vehicle since this is one of the smaller infant carriers on the market.
I also have a few negative points about this infant seat as well though. For example, the customer service is less then cooperative and rather frustrating and unhelpful. I have received multiple complaints about how poorly their customer support is, which for me is a huge turnoff! I have also noticed that the straps and buttons are rather stiff compared to other brands and models on the market for the same price range. After doing much research for customer complaints, I have unfortunately come across a very common complaint about how no matter how tight the base is secured, it tends to tip when taking a turn in the car! WHAT!?!? To me this is not ok at all!!

 World Mommy Overall Review:

Overall, I give the Baby Trend Flex-Loc a three star rating! This is because I feel as though there have been way too many complaints (and major ones at that) about this seat being easy to work with. I don't like how the base tips in the car while turning (even when properly installed). I also don't like how small the seat is and how many compaints there have been about babies outgrowing the Baby Trend Flex-Loc by the time they are 6 months old.

FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR BABY, PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOU SHOULD NEVER HAVE THE HANDLE IN THE UPRIGHT "CARRY" POSITION WHILE STRAPPED INTO THE CAR!

Price Range: $190-$195

No. 1 Rated Car Seat in America!

The Chicco KeyFit 30 is a great infant car seat and is actually the one that I had chosen for my own son. This is a great lightweight infant carrier that is easy to use and travel with, but it still has its own down flaws as well! Here are your top 3 pros and cons:

TOP PRODUCT PROS:
* With the level and instructions on the car seat base, this seat is very easy to install correctly
*It clicks in and out of the car base easily (you can actually hear it click when latched properly!)
*The tangle free, five point harness is easy to adjust with just one hand

TOP PRODUCT CONS:
*The fabric is rather hot and non-breathable

*Rather heavy to carry around once the baby starts getting bigger

Graco SnugRide 35

Weight Limits: 4-35 pounds
Height Limits: Up to 32"
Price Range: $159-$179

Many of my friends use this car seat and love it! However, The Graco SnugRide 35 infant car seat isn't perfect. So here are your top 3 pros and cons for this particular infant car seat.

TOP PRODUCT PROS:
*The Graco SnugRide 35 has a Self Supported canopy
*Has rubber on the base to prevent from any slippage
*The Graco SnugRide 35 has an extra handle position

TOP PRODUCT CONS:
*Not the easiest fabric to clean after the inevitable accidents!
*The canopy tends to get caught on the handle when trying to pull it down
*This car seat is rather wide and doesn't fit too well in most restaurant booths or high chairs.

Maxi-Cosi Mico
Weight Limits: 5-22 pounds
Height Limits: 19"-29"
Price Range: $170

With it's sleek design and light weight, the Maxi-Cosi Mico is a great infant car seat for any of those mom's that are rather petite. It has a trendy style and works great with most strollers, however just like everything else, it has it's flaws as well.

TOP PRODUCT PROS:
*GREAT FOR PREEMIES!
*The fabric is very soft and breathable, it also comes with a nice head support
*Very lightweight making it easier for moms to tote around

TOP PRODUCT CONS:
*The base is rather big/long, not making it too ideal for smaller vehicles
*Can be difficult to detach from the car seat base
*Most children tend to outgrow this seat by 7 months

Britax Chaperone
Weight Limits: 4-30 pounds
Height Limits: Up to 32"
Price Range: $229.99

With it's Anti-Rebound Bar, this infant car seat defiantly lives up to the Britax name! I don't think you'll find many moms out there that aren't satisfied with the Britax Chaperone infant car seat. However, is it the right seat for your little munchkin?

TOP PRODUCT PROS:
*Extremely high safety ratings!!
*Has not just the Anti-Rebound Bar, but also has "True Side Impact" technology
*Comes with an extra large sunshade

TOP PRODUCT CONS:
*This seat is extremely heavy and hard for most moms to carry around
*The Re-Bound Bar makes the base a lot longer than other car seat bases causing it take up more room!
*The straps and chest clip can be difficult to adjust (many complaints about the chest clip getting stuck)

Choosing the Right Infant Car Seat for You

OK, so the dreadful nausea has finally subsided and that baby bump is starting to show more and more every passing day. This can only mean one thing...it's time to start your registry planning! So you finally get your husband out to the baby store and all hyped up with you to help planning your nursery and choosing the perfect car seat. Only when you finally take those first few steps into this magical land of cute little baby stuff you're feeling overwhelmed with all the options! This is when you decide to take it slow and go over to the car seat isle, because what could be easier then just picking out a cute car seat right?? WRONG AGAIN!! HELP!! There are so many different options now with not just the style of fabric you're going to have to choose, but also the safety ratings (I mean every seat has a sticker that says #1 in something) and don't forget the sizes and shapes and all the other bells and whistles.
Well hold on to those diapers mommies because this is where I come in to save your day! I have already put in the time and research for all of your infant car seat concerns and questions. Listed below will be the first four things that need to be considered when choosing the right infant carrier for you and your growing family. I will also have several other pages to help you through more questions and concerns on different safety ratings, reviews, and facts on the most popular car seats on today's market.
           Ready, because here we go::

1.) Safety First!
I'm sure it goes without saying, but our baby's safety is our number one priority from the moment the take their first breath...Ok, maybe WAY before that, like when that little stick says positive! With this said, I will not put anything on this blog that is not absolutely safe for your little bundle of joy!

2.) Car Seat Size/Weight
Ok, so I'm sure while looking at all those cute car seats and their adorable little designs, you had to have noticed how almost every seat has a round of numbers to soon follow it's style name (ie. Chicco KeyFit 30, Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30, Graco SnugRide Click Connect 35, etc.). These numbers are to help inform you of that particular seat's limits and size, such as it's maximum height and/or weight. This comes in handy when deciding how long you are wanting to use the infant carrier (although most parents choose to upgrade around 12 months or so) as well as how big of a baby you and your doctor are expecting to deliver.

3.) Your Car Seats Weight
When shopping for your infant carrier, you ALWAYS want to keep in mind that the bigger the seat comes, the heavier and bigger it becomes as well! When purchasing an infant car seat, heavy is good, but only to a certain point...remember that you will have weight of that baby in there too when you're lugging that seat around! I also recommend that you take a friend's baby with you when looking for the right seat for you so that you can see the difference with the added weight. Don't have a spare baby on hand? No problem, I used a gallon of distilled water a few isles down.

4.) Stroller Compatibility
Now, the good news is that if it's not compatible, you can almost always buy an adapter for it now. However, my advice would be to try and find another combination if you can since you're already spending a small fortune on all the bells and whistles that comes with this new baby of yours and the adapter is just another unnecessary added expense. But whatever you choose to do, make sure that you are COMPLETELY happy with both the stroller and the car seat!
